our current livestock

wow!  it's been FOREVER since our last update!  our tank fell into major disrepair for a little while after the loss en mass of coral post-reloc and LED fixture failures.   most livestock didn't make it, but the survivors are alive and well!  strangely enough, the inverts, gorgonians and sponges are what made it through even though they're considered the hardest to take care of so i've decided to go NPS/LPS for the most part.  i'll keep you posted on how things go...

RIP oscar

oscar the mckosker wrasse was found sans soft parts (eyes and guts) this morning.  he was one of the first fish we picked up after the big tank move disaster of 2010.  i'm guessing the crabs got the best of him before i found him.  poor guy!  may you rest in peace!

we ended up leaving after waiting out in the cold for about 1/2 hr.  my dumbass didn't think there's be some crazy line and certainly wasn't expecting to have to wait out in the cold.  we didn't bring jackets and even tried to stay warm with a coffee, but no luck.  we opted to leave w/out scoring. heh!

it's been a while since we posted a FTS so here you go! found this little emerald crab molt today. can only mean the little sucker is healthy and getting bigger. :)

our reef keeper has been down forever! finally got around to mailing-in the sid module so we can update the firmware on all the other damn modules... lots of tech difficulties lately!

add to cart: highfin perchlet + misc zoos + yellow gorgonian + blue photo sponge

picked up a gorgeous yellow gorgoinian and some cb tubbs + ked reds + pink zoos @ barrier to add some color back into our languishing tank... came with some green palys that brad's not too fond of so i fragged them off for a lucky recipient i have yet to find/identify. also, scored an atypical photosynthetic blue sponge + a highfin perchlet @ denny's pet up in totem lake.
